簡介：
阿梅爾·貝爾哈吉和巴基斯坦小伙子馬什是一對年輕小情侶，但是巴基斯坦一直有不與外族通婚的傳統，于是二人的結合遇到了巨大的挑戰。在馬什未向父母挑明關系之前，其父母為馬什包辦了婚姻。 努爾是馬什父親親族的成員，并且和阿梅爾也是好朋友。阿梅爾得知努爾在婚前已與別人發生關系的秘密 并幫她做隱瞞。努爾本打算成全阿梅爾和馬什這對小情侶，嫁給別人，奈何父母逼迫其嫁給馬什。無奈絕望的阿梅爾將努爾的秘密說了出來，努爾萬分羞愧選擇自殺。萬幸努爾被搶救過來，但是所有人把這一切的不幸歸咎于阿梅爾。阿梅爾和自己的父親大吵一架，怒斥生活的殘酷，父權主義的霸道。然而，最終馬什決定勇敢起來，保護自己孤立無援的愛人，二人在街頭相擁，擁抱著向往的生活。
